Paige Andrew is the Maps Cataloging Librarian at the Pennsylvania State University Libraries. As an active maps cataloger, he participates in three of the LC PCC programs: BIBCO, NACO, and SACO and regularly contributes new geographic area codes for places to be included in LC’s Classification Web database. Mr. Andrew has published articles on the bibliographic control of cartographic materials and related topics in professional journals such as Cataloging & Classification Quarterly and Technical Services Quarterly. He is the author of Cataloging Sheet Maps: The Basics. In addition, he co-edited the book Maps and Related Cartographic Materials: Cataloging, Classification and Bibliographic Control with Mary Lynette Larsgaard. Paige is also co-founder, with Ms. Larsgaard, and continuing co-editor of the peer-reviewed Journal of Map & Geography Libraries: advances in geospatial information, collections & archives. His latest endeavor is as lead author, along with Susan Moore and Mary Larsgaard, of the forthcoming book RDA and Cartographic Resources, to be published by ALA Editions in Fall 2014. Mr. Andrew is currently the Chair of the Map and Geospatial Information Round Table (MAGIRT) of ALA and has actively served our profession as an officer and/or as chair of numerous committees in the American Library Association, the Special Libraries Association, the North American Cartographic Information Society and several others. Bobby Bothmann is Metadata & Emerging Technologies Librarian at Minnesota State University, Mankato where he holds the rank of professor in Library Services. Bobby’s primary duties include cataloging books and electronic resources, managing large files full of MARC records, investigating mobile resources and other new technologies, and attending a lot of meetings. Bobby has been an active member of OLAC (OnLine Audiovisual Catalogers) since fall 2000 and has served in various leadership roles including treasurer and president. He is currently the Cataloging News editor for Cataloging & Classification Quarterly. He holds an MLIS from the University of Wisconsin--Milwaukee UWM and an MS in Geography and English Technical Communication from MSU Mankato. Bobby also moonlights an adjunct instructor for the Graduate School of Library and Information Science at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign where he teaches cataloging and classification courses and tries to covert one student per semester to the cataloging side of the Force. Margaret (Kaus) Corby is an Associate Professor and Metadata Librarian at Hale Library, Kansas State University, where she has been employed since 2005. Prior to her work at K-State, Margaret was the Music Librarian at the George F. DeVine Music Library, University of Tennessee (2000-2004) and Associate Librarian at the University of North Florida Library, where she was a music cataloger (1991-2000). Her educational credentials include a Master of Library Science with music specialization from Indiana University, B.A. in English and music from Marymount College of Kansas, and Name Authority Cooperative Program (NACO) training. She is currently active in the Music Library Association, the Mountain Plains Chapter of the Music Library Association and the Music OCLC Users Group and has given several presentations and workshops for these organizations. Bruce Evans has been the Cataloging & Metadata Unit Leader, and, Music and Fine Arts Catalog Librarian at Baylor University since 2003. Prior to that, he was the Music Catalog Librarian at Southern Methodist University from 1997-2003. Bruce is the current Chair of MOUG, and is also the Chair of the ALA ALCTS CaMMS Competencies and Education for a Career in Cataloging Interest Group. Bruce has previously served as OLAC’s Treasurer/Membership Coordinator from 2011-2013, the Music Library Association’s Bibliographic Control Committee’s Subcommittee on MARC Formats Chair from 2010-2013, MOUG’s Continuing Education Coordinator from 2006-2010, Music Library Association’s Statistics Subcommittee co-Chair from 2005-2007, and Music Library Association’s Texas Chapter Chair from 2000-2003. Mary Huismann, Music/Media Original Cataloger at the University of Minnesota, has worked extensively with music cataloging. She is an active member of the Music Library Association and the Online Audiovisual Catalogers (currently serving as Cataloging Policy Committee Chair). Mary has been a member of the MLA/OLAC Funnel for the National Libraries RDA Test, the MLA RDA Implementation Task Force, and served as a project leader and trainer for the University of Minnesota’s RDA implementation project. Angela Kroeger started at the Criss Library at the University of Nebraska at Omaha in 1995. After a year in Circulation and another year in Reference, she made her way to Cataloging, where she happily served for 16 years. In the beginning, her Cataloging duties centered on maintaining local authority files; by the end, she was focused on original cataloging of videos and realia. In summer 2013, she transferred into Archives and Special Collections, to serve as the assistant to the Archivist. Although the duties of her new job allow little time for cataloging, she maintains an interest in RDA, BIBFRAME, and the future of technical services. She is presently working toward a Master's degree in Library and Information Science through the University of Missouri. [BIBFRAME WORKSHOP]
Peter Lisius is the Music and Media Catalog Librarian at Kent State University. Formats for which he is responsible include music scores, sound recordings, video recordings and electronic resources. He began his duties as NACO-AV Coordinator in July 2013, contributing access points to that funnel on a regular basis. He is also an independent contributor of names and name-title access points for the NACO Music Project, and a member of the Subject Access Subcommittee of the Music Library Association’s Bibliographic Control Committee. He is also serving on the CAPC Taskforce to Revise the Guide for Cataloging DVDs using RDA. He has written articles for Cataloging and Classification Quarterly, both collaboratively and solely-authored. He co-edited the book Directions in Music Cataloging with Richard Griscom. He has presented on cataloging-related topics both locally and nationally. Peter holds a bachelor's degree in music and history from Luther College in Decorah, Iowa, a Master of Library Science degree from Indiana University-Bloomington (with a specialization in music librarianship), and a Master of Arts in Music Theory from Kent State University. Julie Renee Moore is the Catalog Librarian for Special Collections and Special Formats at the Henry Madden Library at California State University, Fresno. She has a BA in Anthropology and German from the Ball State University and an MA in Library and Information Science from the University of South Florida. Among other publications, Julie served on the DVD Cataloging Guide Update Task Force of the OLAC publication, Guide to Cataloging DVD and Blu-ray Discs Using AACR2r and MARC21: 2008 Update. This Guide is in the process of being updated to incorporate RDA with the new title: Best Practices for Cataloging DVD and Blu-ray Discs Using RDA and MARC21. She is also currently serving on the newly-formed Best Practices for Videogames Task Force. Ms. Moore is currently an active member of OLAC (Online Audiovisual Catalogers, Inc.); ALA (American Library Association) ALCTS, and CLA (the California Library Association). She is the current Vice-Chair/Chair-Elect of the CLA TSIG (Technical Services Interest Group). Julie was the recipient of OLAC’s 2010 Nancy B. Olson Award as well as the CLA’s TSIG 2010 Award of Achievement. Her all-time favorite thing she’s ever cataloged was a black bear named “Luego” in Alaska. Casey Mullin is Head of the Data Control Unit of the Stanford University Libraries. Previously at Stanford, he served as humanities cataloger; in that capacity, he was a full PCC contributor and also participated in the US RDA Test in 2010. When not at Stanford, he catalogs scores and sound recordings on a contract basis, and is an active orchestral and chamber musician. He holds a Bachelor of Music in viola performance from Western Washington University and a Master of Library Science from Indiana University Bloomington. A member of the Music Library Association's Bibliographic Control Committee, Casey serves as chair of the Subject Access Subcommittee and of the RDA Music Implementation Task Force, and as a member of the Genre-Form Task Force. His work in these endeavors has included contributions to the music portion of the Library of Congress Genre/Form Terms for Library and Archival Materials, the Library of Congress Thesaurus of Medium of Performance Terms and the document Best Practices for Music Cataloging Using RDA and MARC21. Philip Schreur received his PhD in Musicology from Stanford University in 1987 and his Masters in Library and Information Science from the University of California Berkeley in 1988. He is currently the Interim Assistant Librarian for Technical Services at Stanford University, where he also serves as Head of the Metadata Department and as Metadata Strategist. Phil has strong interests in the automatic generation of descriptive and controlled metadata stemming from his work as Knowledge System Developer for HighWire Press (2000-2005). He served as chair of the Policy Committee for the Program for Cooperative Cataloging from 2012-2013 focusing attention on RDA implementation and authorities in a non-MARC environment. His current interests center on linked data as the logical next-step for both metadata creation and exchange within academia and has written an article about the same entitled “The Academy Unbound: Linked Data as Revolution”. Phil is part of a linked-data skunkworks group at Stanford University investigating the digital repository as database of record, authority management through linked data, ontology mapping, and BIBFRAME implementation. Jay Weitz is Senior Consulting Database Specialist at OCLC and was previously Assistant Catalog Librarian at Capital University, Columbus, Ohio. He has a BA in English from the University of Pennsylvania, an MLS from Rutgers University, and an MA in Education from Ohio State University. He is the author of “Cataloger's Judgment,” both editions of “Music Coding and Tagging,” and the cataloging Q&A columns of the Music OCLC Users Group Newsletter and the Online Audiovisual Catalogers Newsletter. He serves as OCLC Liaison to numerous groups. Since 1992, he has presented dozens of cataloging workshops in the U.S., Canada, and Japan. He was the recipient of the MOUG Distinguished Service Award in 2004, OLAC's Nancy B. Olson Award in 2005, and for his work on the reimplementation of Duplicate Detection and Resolution software in WorldCat, an OCLC President’s Award in 2010. Since 1981, he has been program annotator for concerts of Chamber Music Columbus (Ohio, USA).
